About the walk

This heritage trail will begin from the ticket counter of the Orchha Fort complex to the first Palace of the Orchha Raja Mahal which holds beautiful architecture and miniature paintings. As we head towards the USP Orchha Jehangir Mahal, we will stop and admire the beauty around the city and then take the trail to the Jehangir Mahal and Rai Parveen Mahal while listening to beautiful and mysterious stories behind the ruins of Orchha. We will then visit the holiest and most sacred site of the city, Raja Ram Mandir, which was also called the Rani Mahal. 

The guided tour is free.

  • Parking facilities are available at the meeting point.
  • Photography is allowed, so you may carry your cameras. Extra fees for DSLR cameras are to be paid by the participant. Photography inside Raja Ram Mandir is not allowed.
  • Participants will have to buy entry tickets to the Orchha Fort (if they choose to visit the monuments inside).
  • Please wear comfortable shoes and carry water and an umbrella.
