About the walk

The Nagpur Central Museum is one of the oldest museums in India, established in 1863 with the efforts of Sir Richard Temple, the then Chief Commissioner of Central Provinces. It is also known as Ajab Bangla, and houses a valuable collection of rare sculptures, paintings, arms, textiles, ivory, manuscripts, archaeological findings from excavations, etc. The collection is sourced from different parts of Central India. The building of the museum itself is a heritage structure, and is run by the Government of Maharashtra.

Both of these young architects from Nagpur are enthusiastic explorers. Born and brought up in Nagpur, they have a keen interest in the history and heritage of their city. Amol is currently pursuing his master's degree in urban planning, while Mandira is passionate about photography and the arts.
