Celebrating World Heritage Day - Dhalni Pol Sketch Walk

About the walk

Apart from its rich historical background, Ahmedabad is also famous for its association with some of the country's most well-known painters like M.F. Hussain, Ravishankar Rawal and Rasiklal Parikh, to name a few. We shall discuss more such lesser-known facts and explore one of the earliest settlements of the historic city of Ahmedabad. We shall walk through one of the oldest and most beautifully gated communities or 'pols' of Ahmedabad and try to capture its ambience not just on camera, but also on paper through sketches and doodles.
On the occasion of World Heritage Day this 18th April, Sahapedia, in association with Sharitage, the Heritage Club of Ahmedabad, will be conducting a small sketch walk covering the Raipur Darwaza, Ghodagadi Nu Dahelu, Ashavil Nu Tekro, Dhalni Pol, Rani Sipri Masjid and Patharwali Masjid. We shall sit in the Dhalni Pol for a while and sketch out our expression of the city.

This guided tour is free.
