About the walk

The capital of Chhattisgarh, Raipur is situated on the banks of the Mahanadi river. It is a part of the southern Koshala region. In this walk, we will explore the ancient histories and cultures of the Haihwa kingdom and its development in the ancient period. The king of the empire built 36 forts in southern Koshala, one of which is the Mahamaya Temple of Raipur. After the temple, we will visit a 600-year-old pond called the Burha Talab and discuss its ancient history. We will then see the Kile Wale Baba ki Dargah.

 

In this walk, we will visit Neelabh Garden, Kile Wala Baba ki Dargah, Mahamaya Temple, Budheshwar Temple, Shitala Mata Temple, and Turi Hatari.
