About the Talk

This Baithak shall examine training and challenges in managing human resources and skills development of cultural professionals in India. India boasts of a rich cultural heritage and a robust model of cultural production across film, theatre, music, dance, literary arts, visual arts and others. However, there are very few formal degrees available in arts management, neither at the undergraduate or postgraduate level. The panel discussion will focus on the training and development of cultural professionals. Speakers will include heads of arts management fellowships, educational institutions and State-run cultural training organisations.

Panelists include Anchal Jain, Co-Chair at Creative & Cultural Businesses Programme (CCBP) at IIM Ahmedabad, Neha Paliwal, Director, Projects at Sahapedia, Pooja Sood, Founding member and Director of KHOJ International Artist's Association. This session will be moderated by Dipti Rao, Head of Research at The Art X Company.
