A Photo and Food Walk to Chowk - Lucknow’s Oldest Market

About the walk

‘Chowk’ in Hindi means ‘an open market at a junction of two roads’. However, in Lucknow, Chowk refers to one of the oldest markets and residential localities of the city. Chowk is a part of the old city of Lucknow. This is the place where one can truly explore the cultural and historical heritage of Lucknow. The market has many small shops where Lakhnawi specialities like chikan-work clothes, itra, ornaments, dress materials and craft items can be bought.
