About the walk

The Sohra Indigenous Heritage Site is located in Sohra, which is about 54 kilometres from the capital city Shillong, Meghalaya.

This site displays the traditional thatched houses of the Khasis, locally known as the 'iing tynriew'. Visitors can identify the old traditional kitchens, fireplaces, handicrafts, musical instruments, bamboo baskets, hookahs, and so on. The site also has a spectacular view of a waterfall. It is located on the way to the famous Nohkalikai Falls.
