Celebrating World Heritage Week-Shaam-e-Swaad–Allahabadi Food Walk

About the walk

Like any other city in India, Allahabad boasts of its true Indian culture in its chowk, which seems a little chaotic and cluttered, but is nevertheless full of many gastronomic delights in every nook and corner. Food is what connects the culinary, medical and religious traditions and local heritage of the city.  Every change in season brings with it a new aroma to the area. Now that the festive season has come to a close, let us explore Loknath in its true form, where recipes are retained in a unique way by each community, letting its indigenous knowledge travel through generations.

Come, join us for a journey full of taste and knowledge. Let us share some sumptuous delicacies of both the old and new world amidst the local stories that the makers tell.

This guided tour is free.
