Trailing through Nature at the Serenity Library

About the walk

As you reach the Serenity Library, the city’s hum fades and your mind becomes calm amid chirping birds and fluttering butterflies. Spread out over an area of 40,000 sq. metres, this space on the Bhat Motera Road has become a refuge for thousands of nature lovers.

The Serenity Library houses over 800 species of indigenous and exotic plants. These were planted over the last 20 years and have now grown to reasonable maturity. They also have a garden that houses many species of butterflies. The botanical garden hosts more than a 100 species of birds as well as two water bodies that play a vital role in attracting birds to the premises. The library building has a reading room so that nature lovers can read about the various species present on the premises. The garden and library were set up by Firdos Cambatta with the sole objective of sensitising city dwellers, especially children, about the importance of nature and its conservation.

This guided tour is free.
