The Untold Story of Dudhadari Math

About the walk

Dudhadari Math is very important in the historical and archaeological context of Raipur. In this walk, we will explore Dudhadari Math, the oldest fort of Raipur. This monastery was built by Bhosle ruler, Raghuji, in the memory of Saint Balabhadra Das in the 16th century. This monastery is surrounded by high walls all around, with an ancient temple of various deities within. We will also discuss the famous Ram Temple closeby. This temple has many stories associated with the Ramayana and Mahabharata that have been engraved. After this, we will discuss the Balaji Temple and its history. 

During the walk, we will visit the Ram Temple, Bhalaji Temple, Sita ji ki Rasoi, Hanuman Temple, Rajband Pond and Shiva Temple.
