About the walk

The Shankar’s International Dolls Museum is one of the most renowned museums in New Delhi, housing a huge collection of dolls from across the globe. At the time of the inauguration of the museum, the number of dolls was only 500 whereas it has now risen to 6500, with dolls from over 85 countries! It has dolls that were gifted to the museum by eminent personalities along with dolls that represent the ethnicity of various countries. This walk will focus primarily on some of the dolls that represent the Indian subcontinent, its tribes, dance forms and traditional attires. It will also explore the dolls of other Asian countries.
