The post-Independence period saw the coming up of many monumental structures in Bengaluru, including the Vidhana Soudha, the General Post Office, the Vishveshwarya Towers. From the Attara Kacheri, which was built in 1867 and houses the High Court of Karnataka, to Vikasa Soudhathe--a more recent addition, Bengaluru's has a rich architectural heritage

Starting at the main arch entrance of Cubbon park, this walk aims at exploring the architectural significance and history--from the colonial times to the present--of these buildings and the roads surrounding them.

• Parking facilities are not easily available. We recommend you to take the metro.

• Photography is permitted.

• No entry fee.

• Wear comfortable shoes and carry water. The walk will cover a distance of approximately 1.5 kilometres.
