A Nature Walk To Tapovan Eco Park

About the walk

12th January is celebrated as the National Youth Day of India in the memory of Swami Vivekananda's birth anniversary.  His words, "Arise, awake and sleep no more" are followed with gusto even today. The world is in utter need of nature conservation and sustainability. This planet with the greenery upon it is our heritage too, and it is our responsibility to protect it and secure a future for the generations to come. The primary ethic of the youth today should be to contribute positively to our planet.

This nature trail is the best way to start the new year. The trail will be held in Tapovan Eco Park which is managed and maintained by the Forest Department of Madhya Pradesh. This Eco Park is situated at a small hill called the Tapovan Hill and brims with nature, housing a variety of birds, among which is the sparrow, an endangered species today. This trail will give you the chance to learn about a variety of trees, enjoy bird watching and wander on natural treks. The Tapovan Eco Park also includes a museum with a variety of soil, seed and leaf collections.

The guided tour is free.
