About the walk

This heritage walk is about experiencing the very essence of the age-old city of Amritsar. The old and traditional Amritsar will stimulate your senses. Starting from the city's newly built Town Hall (the centre of Amritsar's local administration), this walk will lead you to the traditional architecture dated to the period of the Mughal reign. Whilst walking, one can hear the sacred sound of gurubani coming from the Golden Temple. We shall end with visiting the hattis that sell traditional Punjabi suits, phulkaris, juttis, handicrafts and a variety of famous Amritsari papar and warian. The mouthwatering aroma of traditional Punjabi spices, boiling milk, sweetened lassi, kachoris and satpuras can satiate any soul. The highlight of this culinary exposure to Amritsar will be a visit to the famous jalebiwala. No one ought to miss out on this journey!
