Taste, Texture, and Flavours of Old Delhi

About the walk

Delhi is famous not only for its monuments and architectural marvels but also its fabulous cuisine. On this walk, we shall explore the lanes of Old Delhi and the mouth-watering food that they are known for. We shall sample the different varieties of parathas at Pandit Gaya Prasad Shiv Charan, established in 1872, in Paranthe Wali Gali. We shall also visit the 90-year-old shop Hazari Lal Jain Khurchan Wale in Old Delhi’s Kinari Bazaar, dedicated exclusively to ‘khurchan’which is a dessert prepared from buffalo’s milk. Then we will head towards Kake Di Hatti, which is famous for over 25 different types of stuffed naans.

We’ll visit at least six food joints offering completely different and unique delicacies. The exquisite flavour of the food and delicate aroma of the spices will surely blow away your mind! Let us share a meal, some secret recipes and lots of stories.
