About the walk

Sadashiv Peth was commissioned by the illustrious Madhavrao Peshwe in 1769 in the memory of his uncle Sadashivrao. It is home to historic temples, wadas and academic institutions. Join us on this walk to experience this historic peth and the Puneri culture it is renowned for.

Discover Pune and its regard for culture and learning, and also experience its quirky side exhibited through numerous 'Puneri Patya' (Boards) and the interesting names of gods, such as Khunya Murlidhar (Murderous Murlidhar) and Upashi Vithoba (Starving Vitthal).
