A Visit to the Samadhi Garden of Rani Lakshmi Bai

About the walk

The Samadhi of Rani Lakshmi Bai is situated in the complex of the Phool Bagh area of Gwalior. Virangana Lakshmi Bai is a well-known freedom fighter of India, who fought against the British for the freedom of the country.

To pay tribute and respect to the Queen, an eight-metalled tall statue of Rani Lakshmi Bai has been installed within the Samadhi of Rani Lakshmi Bai garden.

The walk will be a guided experience for students to know about the life and stories of Rani Lakshmi Bai, and to honour and celebrate her memory at the place where she breathed her last.

 

This is a custom walk for the students of Kamla Raja Girls Government Post Graduate College. This walk is not open to others.

Shikha is a student of Travel and Tourism Management at the Indian Institute of Tourism and Travel Management. She is interested in the history and architecture of different cities, explored through stories and living heritage present in various forms.
