About the walk

The Surya Mandir or Sun Temple is a spectacular shrine in Gwalior and is notable for its architecture which is a magnificent amalgamation of exquisite red sandstone and pearly white marble. The temple is dedicated to the holy Sun God, as the name suggests. The Sun Temple also talks about the mythologies and other known facts of the temples of Gwalior and Konark. The walk will be a guided experience for students to know about the Sun Temple, its history and architecture in great detail.

 

This is a custom walk for the students of Sri Vallab Krishna Academy School. The walk is not open to others.

Shikha is a student of Travel and Tourism Management at the Indian Institute of Tourism and Travel Management. She is interested in the history and architecture of different cities, explored through stories and living heritage present in various forms.
