A Walk through the Bylanes of Nizamuddin Basti

About the walk

The Nizamuddin area in Delhi has been inhabited for more than 700 years now. Originally called Ghiyaspur, the village was renamed after the popular Sufi Saint, Nizamuddin Auliya. There is much more history to the village than just the dargah dedicted to the saint. In this walk, we will take you through the bylanes of Nizamuddin Basti to explore the secular setting of the houses. We will stop at Kalan Masjid, Phoolwalon ki gali, Atgah Khan's Tomb, Baoli and finally the dargah of Nizamuddin Auliya.

This guided tour is free.
